Areas of Operation

The emergence of LINDORDES is premised on the existing socioeconomic development needs that are yet to be resolved by the market mechanism of the private sector and the provision of amenities & regulatory function of the public sector. As a consequence, LiEF has been instituted to provide a fraction of these teeming needs through a range of humanitarian activities. As an NGO, LINDORDES will design and implement projects as well as advocate for programs aimed at – improving healthcare services; poverty alleviation and education improvement. The pervasive and interrelated natures of these thematic areas will ensure human rights improvement, which is a hallmark of the non-governmental sector.
We will also adopt a diversified and incorporated empowerment approach to accelerating our project execution pace which will improve livelihood in communities, enhancing participation as well as developing rural societies. The key service pillars for LINDORDES include three-highly interrelated themes which include: health care service delivery; poverty alleviation and education improvement towards socioeconomic development.

Healthcare delivery programs include the following:

  • Identifying the main sub groups that need financial health care support
  • Providing subsidized & diagnostics services
  • Providing subsidized & free medication
  • Providing subsidized & free hospital bills
  • Training eligible individuals as nurses etc.
  • Providing free training in proactive nutritional practices

Poverty alleviation programs will include the following:

  • Identifying the root cause of poverty in different communities
  • Design more effective programs that reach the poor, through close working relationships
  • Designing community-specific poverty alleviation programs
  • Designing separate poverty alleviation programs for the rural poor & urban poor.

Empowerment programs will include the following:

  • Identifying the fundamental causes of low education participation
  • Identifying the fundamental causes of low educational performance
  • Design & implementing educational programs that will leave a legacy
  • Re-orientation of attitude to teaching & learning
  • Projecting education as a basic objective of development
  • Projecting education as an important end in itself

The above multi-pronged orientation will accelerate development within excluded communities through a cohesive and triangulation process in which healthcare raises life expectancy; educational improvement increases livelihood standards and poverty alleviation is attained by a reduction on “all” inequalities.
Specifically healthcare services will lead to increased longevity &quality of life; poverty alleviation programs will reduce inequality; while educational service will raise capabilities to complement increased lifespan and living standards; These will in addition, empower communities through increased understanding of the social, political and economic factors that affect their lives such that they can be conscious of their responsibility to control their lives.
